Smooth and conceal fine lines and imperfections with this moisturizing, full coverage formula. A non-greasy texture with the skin-loving benefits of virgin, organic coconut oil. Infused with Argan & Sea Buckthorn, this truly is superfood for your skin!
Best for: Normal to dry skin types.
Coverage: Complete, full coverage, with a dewy, cream-to-powder finish. For less coverage, dilute with a Pure Anada hydrating cream.

I ordered quite a few samples of Pure Anada products recently, to give a whirl. You can order samples of their products from a couple of places, but I ordered mine from The Pure Boutique. Samples of the liquid foundation are $1.00 CAD and if you use the coupon code "sample", your shipping will be decreased to $2.00 CAD. (Coupon is valid on sample purchases ONLY.)
I wish ALL companies would offer this as an option. I really appreciate the ability to try products out, especially something like foundation. There's nothing worse than buying a foundation, only to find out, in all different light sources, the colour is WAY off for your skin tone or that you generally dislike the formula and can't return it.
There's enough product in each of these sample pots to test out the foundation for at least 1 full week, possibly longer. Depending on how much product you apply.
The texture of this liquid foundation is quite thick. Closer to a creamy consistency, I'd say. But, still liquid enough to be housed in a plastic squeeze tube container. I was trying to think the other day, what other foundation would this compare to, consistency wise...I couldn't come up with one. At least, not exact.
This foundation, to me, acts like a loose powder mineral foundation but in liquid form. Meaning that, when applied, it almost takes on a fuller coverage when buffing it on to the skin, much like a powder mineral foundation would act.
They recommend using a flat top brush for this. While I like the application with a flat top, I also like just using my fingers as well. Using a buffing motion with both applications give the most coverage and even application.
This foundation is also recommended for Normal to Dry skin types, however, on my combination skin, (oily T-zone), this foundation still works well and holds up for approximately 5 hours before needing to blot and re-powder touch-up. I don't get anything crazy, like 15 hour wear time on my T-zone, but I would never expect that from near any foundation, for the most part.
This is a foundation that contains many types of oils, so if that's an ingredient that you are trying to avoid, then this won't be the foundation for you. (Ingredients listed below.)
Despite it's ingredients, my most preferred method of application, is to actually mix this with a bit of jojoba oil on the back of my hand and then apply in a buffing motion. I find that mixing in jojoba oil, (even though it's already in there), just makes the foundation apply beautifully and becomes basically undetectable on the skin.
Keep in mind though, adding in something like jojoba oil, (among many other ingredients), can and will effect the colour of the foundation as well. I mix the jojoba in with Ivory Chinook, and it deepens the shade of the foundation by about half a shade. Which works perfectly, as Ivory Chinook is the closest match for me, but it's still just a smidgen too light.
I've swatched the shades that I did order samples of, above, along with MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in NC20 to give an idea of Pure Anada's shade range.
I now wish that I would have ordered ALL of the shades, just to swatch them all for you here. I might go ahead and do that at some point, actually.
Overall, I really do like this foundation. The finish and wear time is lovely, and the ingredients are great. No complaints in that department. The coverage is a solid medium and can be built up to a fuller coverage if needed. This is not a Kat Von D Lock-It coverage, and if you attempt to build it to that level, it will look cakey and thick.
I plan on ordering this in full size in the very near future, just to have it on hand. This foundation is a keeper, I'd say. When I do order the full size, I'll order the rest of the shades to update my swatches.
