I'm diggin' Hot Mama!  I have a few other shadow/blushes from the Balm, like CabanaBoy, FratBoy and DownBoy...but I had not yet picked up Hot Mama and this shade is definitely my jam.

I used to purchase The Balm products from London Drugs, but they no longer carry the brand.  You can order directly from The Balm website...but if you're in Canada, I'd suggest a website like NailPolishCanada.com  They're located on the West Coast, the products are already within the Country, so you won't be hit with additional taxes, import fees, duty fees.

The full size, (7.08 G / 0.25 OZ. ), of Hot Mama! retails for approximately $23.40 CAD.  We were sent a sample size of 0.57 g / 0.02 oz. and has an approximate value of $1.65 CAD.

Lottie London - Perfectly Precise Small Eyeshadow Brush

Lottie London - Perfectly Precise Small Eyeshadow Brush

Description:  Double without the trouble. Part shadow brush. Part smudger. All adorable. And the color? You know how much we love pink here.
Pack it on. Dense fibers let you apply powder and cream shadows.
Just enough. Picks up the perfect amount of product every time.
Pretty made portable. Sized for any makeup bag.

This brush is quite soft and is a good size for smaller eyes, which I have.  It retails for approximately £4.99 at Superdrug, which translates, (currently), to $8.31 CAD.  It would work well for shadows, under-eye shadow blending or even for concealer, should be able to multi-task with this brush.  Plus, it's cute!

I can't find any info on where it is made and what it's made of.

essence - superfine eyeliner pen waterproof

essence superfine eyeliner pen waterproof - black

Description:  (source) accurate work. the superfine eyeliner pen is now available in a waterproof version. this precision pen has an extremely slim applicator with a felt tip to create thin as well as broad eyeliner styles. and it's longer lasting than ever before thanks to the waterproof texture!

I haven't yet fully tested this liner for it's claims, but first impression is good.  It's really...REALLY black and it doesn't bleed in to fine lines upon application.  Bonus beans!

We were sent the full size product, it retails for approximately $3.00 CAD.  You can find essence cosmetics at stores like Shoppers Drug Mart and The Real Canadian Superstore, among others, across Canada.

Pure Brazilian Leave-In Conditioner

Pure Brazilian Leave-In Conditioner with Keratin

Description: (source)

An ultra reparative Keratin infused conditioner that re-constructs dry damaged hair by restoring keratin proteins, the building blocks of hair, that have been depleted by chronological aging or styling, chemical and environmental damage.

Formulated with a fortifying ingredient complex featuring Bulgarian Rose Water, Bombyx Silk, Quartz and crushed Pink Sea Pearls that pampers the hair with opulent hydration, smoothness and shine.

The ingredients listing on the bottle is completely different from the ingredients listed on their website.  So, which is it?  On the bottle that we were sent, it states Dimethicone as the 2nd ingredient.  I will not be testing this on my own hair for that reason.  Like all other products containing silicone's, I will test it out on some extensions/wigs and report back.

The full size is 6.78 fl. oz. / 200 ml. and retails for approximately $26.00 USD.  This sample size is 1 fl. oz. / 29.5 ml. and is worth approximately $3.83 USD.

Ingredients (from their website): (source)  Aqua (Water/Eaul), Propylene Glycol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Behentrimonium Chloride, Quaternium-80, Fragrance (Parfum), Rosa Damascena (RoseFlower) Water, Hydrolyzed Silk, Quartz, Pearl Powder, Cinnamidopropyltrimonium Chloride, Hydrolyzed Rice Protein, Panthenol, Glycerin, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone.

Beaute Basics - Satin Taupe

Beaute Basics eyeshadow - Satin Taupe

Description: (source)   Literally for your eyes only. This ipster-exclusive shade isn’t your mother’s taupe. We’ve been showing off this anything-but-boring metallic brown on the daily.  Incredibly soft and creamy texture goes on smoothly every time.  Oh-so-blendable, for color you can build or smoke out.
An all-day affair. Lasts through the morning and the night.

This eyeshadow is quite pigmented and very soft.  It does kick up a bit when placing a brush in the pan, and you'll need to knock off the excess before applying to the eye to avoid fallout.  This shadow retails for $6.99 USD on the Beaute Basics website...what I don't like is that I cannot find, anywhere, where is this shadow made.  Where is it made?

ipsy Glam Bag for October 2016 was overall decent, for myself.  It holds an approximate retail value of $26.16 CAD.  Apart from the conditioner, (and maybe the questionable eyeshadow), I can get use out of the rest of the products.  As far as actual monetary value...well...it's not really that great.  Ipsy, in Canada, costs $14.95 USD, which converts to approximately $20.03 CAD.   If I had to rate it out of, say, 10...I'd have to give it, maybe, a 6/10.  No blowin' back my hair, but I'm not full of rage at this month's bag either.

Did you receive ipsy this month?  What are your thoughts on it?
